Star Charter School

Thank you for visiting the Star Charter School Website. Star Charter is an open-enrollment, publicly-funded charter school in Austin, Texas, located at 1901 Fleischer Drive, between Wells Branch Parkway and Grand Avenue Parkway. Star students excel in out-of-school activities, such as national figure skating, gymnastics, and equestrian competitions. Star Charter School offers an intensive curriculum designed for students making use of a more compact daily schedule. Students may choose from a morning session or an afternoon session. The schedule is ideal for highly-motivated students involved in major programs outside of the classroom and families in need of a more flexible daily schedule.

• One Enchanted Evening:  On Saturday, February 13th, from 5 to 9 pm, spend a family-friendly evening at the new school on Summit Drive and enjoy live entertainment, dancing and food with the ones you love!
• Our campus, as well as state, 2008-2009 No Child Left Behind Report Card is now available online. If you would like a paper copy please stop by the office and we can print one for you.

• The agenda for the February 3rd Governing Board meeting is now available in the news section.
• The Summit Property is officially ours!!!!!  Chris Long will chair the committee that does the landscaping design and transplanting from current site.  Feel free to email her at chris_long@starcharterschool.org if you are interested in providing input, volunteer effort, or other donations.  We have a sprinkler system in place and will map where it functions to facilitate plantings.
• Jen Solan will chair the committee comprised of parents/students/staff to suggest details on finishing touches for property.
