3rd Grade Math School Supplies List
• 1 2” Math binder (or Mead Five Star *preferred)
• 1 pack of dividers (5: label as “Vocabulary”, “Lessons”, “Graded
Papers”, “Score Chart”, “Resources”)
• 1 pack of index cards
• 2 packs of 150 sheet college ruled paper (college ruled paper is
best for math)
• 1 pack of ¼ inch graph paper
• 1 ruler - inch & centimeter
• 1 sturdy fabric zippered pencil pouch to hold the following
supplies
• several mechanical pencils (preferred)- regular pencils are your
option however you must supply your own sharpener
• 1 low odor dry erase marker (any color) • 2 checking pens or
pencils (any color)
• 1 pair Student Scissors
• 1 calculator (inexpensive, only $1 at Walgreens or Wal-Mart) • 1
box of colored pencils
• 1 pencil sharpener that holds shavings
• 1 highlighter (any color)
• 1 good pencil eraser
In an effort to ease transition between classes and save
valuable class time, I require each student to have all of their
Math items in a single binder when they come to class. The binder
should hold paper and the supply bag. *I suggest a zippered binder
such as the Mead Five Star. It can hold the math textbook and all
materials needed for Math class. These binders have worked well in
the past, allowing students to simply grab their binder and get to
class knowing everything they need for Math is inside.
